Our patient coordinators play an active role throughout the process. The patient coordinators will be available throughout the entire process, before and after the surgery, both by e-mail and phone. They will also email you all the required documents including a health check questionnaire.
After you decide to get the treatment you need, we forward you a health questionnaire. You will fill it out and send it back to us. After our doctors evaluate your situation, they will confirm whether you are suitable for the surgery you want. Upon the approval of our doctors, you will be ready to move on to the next step.
We will decide an operation day together. We usually schedule this within a day or two, without delay.
The process for Gastric Sleeve, Gastric Bypass and other surgery is generally as follows: We make your hospitalization the day you arrive and we start the examination procedures and surgery preparations in the morning after your rest that night.
The process for the Gastric Balloon procedure is generally as follows; On the day of your arrival, we perform your pre-operative examinations and consultation with your surgeon, we make your treatment right after. You can return at home the next day.
Once your surgery date is determined, you should plan your travel to Istanbul and make the treatment prepayment. We will also sign a Treatment Agreement. We recommend that you come to Istanbul one day before your examination day. If you wish we can make your hotel reservation for you.
It might be a good idea to bring a companion with you for your personal needs. This person can stay with you in your room at the hospital. However, if you are going to be alone, our team will make you feel comfortable and safe.
After you arrive at the airport in Istanbul, we will welcome you and take you to your hotel with VIP Transfer service. After arriving at your hotel, you can explore Istanbul or choose to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. The next day, one of our coordinators will pick you up from your hotel and bring you to the hospital where your examination and tests will be performed. During your stay in the hospital, our patient coordinator will visit you regularly. Your personal room in the hospital offers a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.
After the surgery is completed, the recovery phase begins. Your doctor and our healthcare staff will closely monitor your recovery. You can stand up within a few hours after the surgery. You will receive a diet plan and be informed by your doctor and nurses about your post-surgery life.
“The way home!” In the follow-up period, we are always ready to answer your questions after you return home. We will give you a recipe. Vitamins, etc. can be bought from the pharmacy. We recommend taking these vitamins. Once your medications are finished, your doctor will continue to write prescriptions for you. Also, after returning home, blood tests, etc. might be required. We recommend that you make an appointment with your doctor.
